BPD Humans is a monthly virtual meet up of people experiencing Borderline Personality Disorder, guided by a mental health professional. People here share what happened throughout the month, coping mechanisms and hold space for each other.
Milana and Maheema were diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder in 2018 and 2019 respectively. We were unable to find an eco system of people who suffered with this disorder and were left in misery. The stigma surrounding mental health and the lack of awareness, both by general population and mental health professionals did not help our growth which eventually led us to form Borderline Personality Disorder Humans. We started out as an Instagram page, sharing our day to day life and soon brought on board a mental health professional and started conducting monthly support group sessions. Every member after registering is added to an online chat room where all further information is shared. We strive to form a safe space for every individual experiencing Borderline Personality Disorder and find an equal healing opportunity irrespective of any social constructs.
Milana and Maheema bring the group together and carry out the logistics of the session, while Nyana Sabharwal guides the discussions as a professional.
Notes: The above information may change from time to time, and is shared with you to understand the background of where the support group comes from.People with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). A confirmed diagnosis by a mental health professional is compulsory before signing up.
Itβs a peer to peer support group for people with Borderline Personality Disorder where they can share their stories and support each other. The idea is to make it a less isolating journey for everyone with this shared diagnosis. And to also dispel myths and theories about Borderline Personality Disorder and generate awareness and acceptance.
We have a mental health professional on board, who helps us find contacts of professionals when a member needs support.
Our support group is not meant to serve as a replacement for therapy sessions.
Itβs a free flowing session where people are free to discuss whatever is on their minds. It ends with a soothing exercise to ensure everyone is feeling okay. It is an iterative process where feedback is taken into account.
Empathy, accountability, kindness, feedback, authenticity, support and growth of every member.

We've developed a curation process over 7+ years, which allows us to carefully curate each inclusive and affirming mental health provider listed on our platform.
We have come a long way since we started in 2018, and have been adapting our curation process every day. From the time a therapist or support group reaches out to us, it takes about 1 - 2 months to complete the process.
We launched TheMindClan.com because we know firsthand how challenging it can be to find support for ourselves and our loved ones. We know that experiences of neurodivergence (like dyslexia, ADHD, autism, etc), or being from a marginalized community (LGBTQIA+, etc), can make it especially challenging to find support.
We understand the overwhelming feeling of scrolling through endless lists, wondering whom to trust, and not knowing what to expect.
If you appreciate our mission of making mental health care accessible and inclusive, and would love to bring this to your organization or collaborate with us, we'd be delighted to hear from you!
