My interest and experiences as a person in how human dynamics impact an individual’s life led me to take up psychology in high school which led to further study counseling psychology and enabled me to become a therapist
To be able to help someone genuinely in a context like India where struggling with problems can be extremely stigmatized and looked down upon
I hope clients get a feeling that the I as a therapist is able to “get them”. A space where an individual feels unconditional positive regard, non-judgmental and empathetic space
I would say that approaching a counselor for help can be different for each individual. At the same time when one decides to go to a counselor it means that someone has hope for their life. And trying to get help is standing up against the problems
A relationship of unconditional positive regard, empathy and non-judgmental relationship
My greatest learning so far has been a client has lot of strengths and skills other than problems and problem saturated stories. Secondly an individual’s problems should be understood in the context of his/her environment.
My observation skills and my ability to look beyond a diagnoses and labels
Traveling, watching movies , and discussing psychology and politics
My approach is based on non-judgmental, empathetic space and collaborative process. We work together in navigating the concerns. The emotions and feelings the body feels during the therapy is also important in the therapeutic process
I provide them a non-judgmental and empathetic space. I am mindful and respect each individual’s unique experience with their experiences. I am open to getting a feedback for the therapeutic process to be safe enough for them. I attend workshops and supervisions to learn
Therapy is a combination of empathy and challenge of kick and stroke. If you have a therapist who is constantly validating what you feel and doesnt challenge you, it’s all stroke and no kick. And if you have a therapist who is only challenging you-or if you feel like they’re not rooting for you-that’s problematic.

We've developed a curation process over 7+ years, which allows us to carefully curate each inclusive and affirming mental health provider listed on our platform.
We have come a long way since we started in 2018, and have been adapting our curation process every day. From the time a therapist or support group reaches out to us, it takes about 1 - 2 months to complete the process.
We launched TheMindClan.com because we know firsthand how challenging it can be to find support for ourselves and our loved ones. We know that experiences of neurodivergence (like dyslexia, ADHD, autism, etc), or being from a marginalized community (LGBTQIA+, etc), can make it especially challenging to find support.
We understand the overwhelming feeling of scrolling through endless lists, wondering whom to trust, and not knowing what to expect.
If you appreciate our mission of making mental health care accessible and inclusive, and would love to bring this to your organization or collaborate with us, we'd be delighted to hear from you!
