I feel everyone has a story to tell and everyone looks for someone to listen to their story, I am eager to be that listener. And if they allow me, I would like to respectfully offer input on their narrative.
Being able to bring change in peoples’ lives, being able to give them home, being able to give them something to ponder upon.
Psychological safety from our mutual therapy space.
I would psycho educate them that it’s okay to talk to someone even when everyone has shown them otherwise. This someone if they’re a professional psychologist, is not going to give answers to all of their problems, but they’ll show them various paths that can be taken. And they will be there to unconditionally support them through the paths and help them take the fall if they do make a not-so-good choice.
I want to build a relationship of trust, respect and mutual safety with my client. I introduce myself, my qualification, my city, I psychoeducate about the therapy process, I welcome the client to share their own introduction, clarify their right to confidentiality and privacy throughout the process, clear sone myths and misconceptions about therapy before hand.
My greatest learning would be: Be kind, no matter what, be kind, I donot know what might be going on in someone’s life.
Prioritising client well being, my rapport with clients, my expertise through my qualification.
Travelling, dancing, singing.
Therapeutic approaches: CBT, DBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. My explanation: We will learn to accept parts of us that need our love and kindness, we will choose to change parts of us that need improvement for our own well being. It will involve evolution in the way we think, doing homework assignments, accosting challenges and being open to the whole process of becoming a more reflective self.
I have read and took certifications and workshops to keep myself informed. I still invite all my clients regardless of their gender/class/caste identities to be open and comfortable to educate me on anything I might not have knowledge on. I keep myself very open to their questions as I understand my limited training cannot mirror completely their lived experiences so I’m always open to listen to their side. I ask them their pronouns, sexual preferences as per their comfort.
All of everything, always.

We've developed a curation process over 7+ years, which allows us to carefully curate each inclusive and affirming mental health provider listed on our platform.
We have come a long way since we started in 2018, and have been adapting our curation process every day. From the time a therapist or support group reaches out to us, it takes about 1 - 2 months to complete the process.
We launched TheMindClan.com because we know firsthand how challenging it can be to find support for ourselves and our loved ones. We know that experiences of neurodivergence (like dyslexia, ADHD, autism, etc), or being from a marginalized community (LGBTQIA+, etc), can make it especially challenging to find support.
We understand the overwhelming feeling of scrolling through endless lists, wondering whom to trust, and not knowing what to expect.
If you appreciate our mission of making mental health care accessible and inclusive, and would love to bring this to your organization or collaborate with us, we'd be delighted to hear from you!
