The relationship I would like to build with my clients is one of equals - a partnership where counselling is a shared journey and a joint discovery.

Within each one of my clients there is a distinct and unique essence - a value, a character trait or wisdom source that fuels their journey towards growth. I have seen courage, honesty, faith, autonomy, learnability - different things in different clients, but everyone has something precious in them.

Kindness, honesty, methodical rigour and a willingness to learn

I love to read - mainly non-fiction books in psychology, spirituality, history and management. Movies are another interest. My wife would say that in most of my free time I like to sleep 🙂

The age group I work with covers young adults and upwards – that is roughly from the age of 20 onwards. Though I love children, I prefer to work through their parents rather than directly with children. The areas I work with are largely around depression, anxiety, relationships, career transitions, self-esteem, conflict management, loss / grief etc. I am especially keen on helping my clients discover their strengths and find meaning in life through work, health, faith and love.
