My interest in counseling goes back to my undergraduate years. My experiences as a young person helped me understand that in order to make a difference in the lives of people it is vital to understand both individual situations and problems and the larger community dynamics that play a major role in the lives of all people. I learned that people can and do live lives that fit with their preferred ways of being if they are given a safe space and being able to create more such spaces drew me to my current work.
I am interested in working with people from all walks of life, all cultures. My aim would be to help them better understand their own hopes and aspirations, to re-align their lives to match their goals/preferred ways of being and to create spaces where they can reduce the influence of problems in their lives and make visible to them their skills in managing problems. I hope to someday contribute to the field, by generating theory from personal experience.
An experience of a safe space to explore, a view of their preferred stories, hopes, aspirations, values and skills and a better understanding of what we can collaborate on.
That it will be a reflective and fun journey which has discovery, learning and joy in it.
A relationship that is non-blaming, respectful and has trust and collaboration in it.
That people are always responding to the problems in their life, no matter how much space the problem is taking up. And that people have skills, abilities and agency.
My strengths include a very genuine desire to help people and curiosity to learn from them. Being respectful and non judgemental.
Reading is my biggest love.

We've developed a curation process over 7+ years, which allows us to carefully curate each inclusive and affirming mental health provider listed on our platform.
We have come a long way since we started in 2018, and have been adapting our curation process every day. From the time a therapist or support group reaches out to us, it takes about 1 - 2 months to complete the process.
We launched TheMindClan.com because we know firsthand how challenging it can be to find support for ourselves and our loved ones. We know that experiences of neurodivergence (like dyslexia, ADHD, autism, etc), or being from a marginalized community (LGBTQIA+, etc), can make it especially challenging to find support.
We understand the overwhelming feeling of scrolling through endless lists, wondering whom to trust, and not knowing what to expect.
If you appreciate our mission of making mental health care accessible and inclusive, and would love to bring this to your organization or collaborate with us, we'd be delighted to hear from you!
