I realised that I love talking to people and was told by my friends that this is something I can really do well in. I have always been interested in people and the stories that are woven around them. It just made sense for me to help facilitate the ease for those stories.
I think every session not only teaches me different things but also helps me unlearn so much, and the exciting part is participating in the emotions, thoughts and cognitive shifts of my clients.
That it was a truly safe and affirming space for them and they could stop, ponder and wonder at themselves for a while…
That they know about themselves the most and therapy will only be a collaboration for their goals and not a rule book.
A friendly, trustworthy, and meaningful one.
That unlearning and holding space can be easy and can look different for everyone. And once you trust someone or something things can be unnervingly beautiful.
Holding an affirmative space and making them feel heard. I also crack a lot of jokes and love when my clients bring humour to the sessions.
I love sleeping. Hogging on social media, watching and obsessing over movies and constant hobby changing. :)
Person centred is the best way to describe it and its always an eclectic approach wherein the needs of the client will be a priority. As i have been trained in trauma-informed work, making the client feel safe and stabilised is the primary goal.
Pronouns while introducing myself really help. Telling them about my experience with other queer and trans folks is another thing and sharing my lived experience becomes integral to my practice.
Always know the context, never disregard intent and pay attention to the impact.

We've developed a curation process over 7+ years, which allows us to carefully curate each inclusive and affirming mental health provider listed on our platform.
We have come a long way since we started in 2018, and have been adapting our curation process every day. From the time a therapist or support group reaches out to us, it takes about 1 - 2 months to complete the process.
We launched TheMindClan.com because we know firsthand how challenging it can be to find support for ourselves and our loved ones. We know that experiences of neurodivergence (like dyslexia, ADHD, autism, etc), or being from a marginalized community (LGBTQIA+, etc), can make it especially challenging to find support.
We understand the overwhelming feeling of scrolling through endless lists, wondering whom to trust, and not knowing what to expect.
If you appreciate our mission of making mental health care accessible and inclusive, and would love to bring this to your organization or collaborate with us, we'd be delighted to hear from you!
