- Exploring and deepening understanding about one’s own experience of queer transness.
- Building a sense of community and gathering internal and communal resources towards navigating queerness in a cis hetero world.
- Learning movement/ embodiment practices towards grounding and accessing resilience.
Who Is The Group For?
This group is for queer and trans individuals seeking a safe, inclusive space to connect, share, and empower one another on their journeys.
Discussion Topics:
- Language, identities, and expressions.
- Navigating queerness in a cis hetero world.
- Support systems and coping skills.
- Mindfulness and movement-based practices for resilience.
- Healthcare access.
- Building friendships and communities.
What Will We Talk About?
- Session 1: Intention setting and committing to building a safer space together.
- Session 2 and 3: Language, identities, and expressions: What brings us joy? Us and our ecosystem: How do we engage with our ecosystem? What kind of an environment do we dream of?
- Session 4 and 5: Mapping support systems and coping skills. Learning mindfulness and movement-based practices for resilience. Everything related to healthcare and access.
- Session 6: Friendships, building communities, and way forward.
Glimpse of the Session:
- Session 1: Participants set intentions and commit to creating a safe space for all members.
- Session 2 and 3: Discuss language, identities, and what brings joy. Explore how to engage with the ecosystem and envision a dream environment.
- Session 4 and 5: Identify support systems and coping skills. Learn mindfulness and movement-based resilience practices, and discuss healthcare access.
- Session 6: Focus on building friendships, creating communities, and planning for the future.
