Overcoming Breakup

Breaking up sucks—but you don’t have to go through it alone. Join a tight-knit group who really gets it.

Here’s your event description formatted in the requested structure:

Breaking Up Support Group

Group Type: Support Group

Goals of the Group:

  • Connect with others experiencing heartbreak in a non-judgmental, safe space.
  • Explore changes in identity post-breakup—both as an individual in a relationship and alone.
  • Understand the struggles of moving on, self-care, and developing a positive relationship with yourself.

Who Is The Group For?

  • Anyone navigating the emotional, physical, and psychological aftermath of a breakup.
  • Whether the separation was recent or still affecting you months later, this space is for you.
  • Healing is not about “moving on” but learning to move with what hurts—at your own pace, with others who understand.

Discussion Topics:

  • The emotional layers of heartbreak (grief, anger, longing, relief).
  • The impact of breakups on identity, self-esteem, and boundaries.
  • Reclaiming lost aspects of yourself and rebuilding emotional safety.
  • Finding meaning in heartbreak and integrating lessons into future relationships.

What Will We Talk About?

  • Week 1: Acknowledging the loss, creating emotional safety, and understanding why breakups hurt.
  • Week 2: Exploring inner emotional “parts” (e.g., the Abandoned One, the Angry One) and validating their roles.
  • Week 3: Reclaiming lost selves, rebuilding boundaries, and reconnecting with silenced parts.
  • Week 4: Integration, meaning-making, and preparing for the journey beyond the group.

Glimpse of the Session:

  • Somatic & Psychoeducation: Grounding exercises, breathwork, and attachment-based insights.
  • Reflective Practices: Guided visualizations, journaling, and worksheets to explore emotions.
  • Optional Sharing: Safe, non-judgmental space for participants to share (if comfortable).
  • Group Rituals: Symbolic practices (e.g., letters to the self, letting-go exercises).
  • Takeaway Practices: Weekly journaling prompts and self-care rituals to continue healing.

Note: Session topics, order, and details may be adjusted based on group needs and facilitator guidance.

Facilitator Bio:

Facilitator: Nidhi Vijay

Nidhi is a counselling psychologist who works with individuals navigating complex trauma, anxiety, relational challenges, and life transitions. Her therapeutic modality is rooted in deep empathy, safety, and curiosity. She integrates somatic practices, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and body-based grief work to support people in reconnecting with themselves in a gentle and meaningful way.

Nidhi holds a strong interest in the emotional process of breakups and relationship endings. Through her work, she has witnessed how breakups can stir up grief, confusion, and questions around self-worth. She believes that while these experiences are painful, they also carry the potential to become powerful turning points—offering space for personal growth, emotional resilience, and the building of more authentic relationships with oneself.

Nidhi is passionate about creating group spaces that are tender, non-judgmental, and community-driven. She believes that healing is not something we need to do alone—and that being witnessed in our stories can bring comfort, clarity, and relief. Through this support group, she hopes to offer a space where participants can explore their emotions, process their relational experiences, and find connection with others walking a similar path.

Finding Support On TheMindClan.com

How It Works

1. Find Support

Browse our curated list of mental health professionals, support groups, and resources that resonate with you.

2. Learn More

Read detailed profiles, specialties, and approaches to understand if they're the right fit for you.

3. Connect Directly

We'll help you reach out and then step aside - your mental health journey is personal.

While we carefully curate our listings, we encourage you to make your own informed decisions. Take time to research, ask questions, verify credentials and choose what feels right for you. Your comfort and safety is top priority.

Inspired By Our Own Struggles.

We launched TheMindClan.com because we know firsthand how challenging it can be to find support for ourselves and our loved ones. We know that experiences of neurodivergence (like dyslexia, ADHD, autism, etc), or being from a marginalized community (LGBTQIA+, etc), can make it especially challenging to find support.

We understand the overwhelming feeling of scrolling through endless lists, wondering whom to trust, and not knowing what to expect.

For Everyone

Whether you're coping with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship issues, grief, or any other mental health concern, we're here to help you find the right support.

Inclusive by Design

If you are queer, neurodivergent, or are from a marginalized community, your experiences are at the heart of what we do.

Handpicked with Care

Support providers are handpicked after personal interviews and a rigorous curation process.

For context: From 442 therapist who wanted to join our platform (Oct 2020–Mar 2025), only 168 made it through our curation process.

Not Just Therapy

We also curate support groups 👥, create digital exercises 📱, and work on corporate partnerships 🏢 that help make mental health a priority in more spaces.

No Middlemen. Take Things Ahead Directly

We provide you with direct contact details of support providers, empowering you to reach out, ask questions, and schedule sessions

Access Their Story

Get to know your potential therapist or support group's background & journey, helping you find someone who feels right for you.

Confidential

Your conversations with support groups, therapists, and others remain completely private. We never ask them for any information about the concerns you have shared with them.

Your Relationship, No Interference From Us

If the therapist or support group you choose is not a good fit, you can use our platform to find someone else you feel more comfortable with. We're not here to interfere with your relationship with your support provider.

If you appreciate our mission of making mental health care accessible and inclusive, and would love to bring this to your organization or collaborate with us, we'd be delighted to hear from you!
