Masks Off is a support group facilitated by a mental health professional, with a focus on creating a safe and affirming space for individuals who may or may not have a formal diagnosis. (An ADHD diagnosis is not necessary to be part of the group) The group is structured to be a supportive environment where members can speak openly without the pressure of masking or performing, and instead focus on exploring their authentic selves.
I started MasksOff because I noticed that many people with ADHD, including myself and my clients, often felt isolated, misunderstood, or pressured to mask their struggles to “fit in.” While therapy offers one-to-one support, there was a lack of community spaces where people could feel less alone. MasksOff provides a space to speak openly about ADHD-from executive dysfunction and overwhelm to rejection sensitivity and burnout-without judgment, and to be met with recognition, compassion, and shared strategies. The group fosters connection, validation, and the discovery of strengths through unmasking together.
Sayesha Mani (they/them), is a queer and ND Clinical Psychologist Associate who has lived experience with ADHD. They are passionate about fostering spaces of acceptance, healing, and growth, celebrating the authenticity and resilience of those navigating diverse identities and experiences.
Notes: The above information may change from time to time, and is shared with you to understand the background of where the support group comes from.Masks Off started in e August 2025. Participants have connected quickly, shared openly, and found validation in a space where ADHD experiences can be discussed without judgment. Facilitating these sessions has strengthened my belief in the value of unmasking together.
This support group is designed for individuals who have been diagnosed with ADHD as well as those who suspect they may have ADHD traits or tendencies. A formal diagnosis is not required to join. The group offers a safe and understanding space to share experiences, explore challenges and strengths, learn coping strategies, and connect with others who relate to similar neurodivergent experiences.
Masks Off is a participatory support group combining experiential exercises with open conversation. Activities help participants reflect on their ADHD experiences and explore coping strategies, followed by discussions for sharing insights and asking questions. Sessions are flexible and participant-led to ensure safety and meaningful engagement.
While Masks Off is primarily peer support, members are encouraged to seek professional mental health care when needed. I maintain contacts of clinicians, therapists, and counselors experienced with ADHD and neurodivergence, and provide referrals when appropriate. I am trained to respond to participants in distress, ensuring support and professional guidance if necessary.
Masks Off is a support space and is not equipped to handle conversations related to suicide, self-harm, or severe mental health crises. Participants are encouraged to reach out to a qualified mental health professional or crisis helpline for immediate support.
The session will include a brief check-in, engaging experiential exercises, an open discussion for shared insights, and a closing reflection to integrate participants’ experiences and learnings.

We've developed a curation process over 7+ years, which allows us to carefully curate each inclusive and affirming mental health provider listed on our platform.
We have come a long way since we started in 2018, and have been adapting our curation process every day. From the time a therapist or support group reaches out to us, it takes about 1 - 2 months to complete the process.
We launched TheMindClan.com because we know firsthand how challenging it can be to find support for ourselves and our loved ones. We know that experiences of neurodivergence (like dyslexia, ADHD, autism, etc), or being from a marginalized community (LGBTQIA+, etc), can make it especially challenging to find support.
We understand the overwhelming feeling of scrolling through endless lists, wondering whom to trust, and not knowing what to expect.
If you appreciate our mission of making mental health care accessible and inclusive, and would love to bring this to your organization or collaborate with us, we'd be delighted to hear from you!
