  • What Is Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) Support Group About?
Highly sensitive people make up 20% of the worldโ€™s population, yet so many of us feel like weโ€™re alone in navigating our sensitivity. There are many components to sensitivity, including emotional depth and sensitivity, sensory sensitivities to the environment, taking care of the physical body, and relationship difficulties. Sensitive people have rich inner lives and when they come together, lots of fruitful discussions are formed. This group will focus on raising awareness of highly sensitive traits and finding support in the more challenging aspects of it. Insight will be given on how to navigate these difficulties by the facilitator and peer members.
  • What is your founding story?
As a highly sensitive person myself, I have known I was sensitive since I was a little girl. I had a vivid imagination and I was incredibly shy, not speaking to most people until I became older. I have experienced immense emotional depth and navigated myself through my sensitivity by learning how to take care of my emotional and physical self. Spirituality has also played a role. By creating this support group, I wanted to create a safe space where highly sensitive people could feel less alone and learn from each other.
  • Who are the facilitators behind Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) Support Group?

Hi! My name is Isha and I am so excited to work with you. I am currently a counselling psychologist based in Bangalore offering online psychotherapy to individuals 16+.

I graduated with my Master’s of Social Work, a clinical degree, in the US in 2022 and then spent time in community mental health working with the severely mentally ill. After that, I moved to India and started my practice where I have had success working with individuals with a diverse range of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, work stress, caregiving, grief and loss, and highly sensitive people.

I have facilitated support groups for individuals with bipolar disorder and depression.

Notes: The above information may change from time to time, and is shared with you to understand the background of where the support group comes from.
  • When was your support group founded? How has the journey been since then?
This group is newly launched so this is a fresh journey for all of us! I am excited to create a space where highly sensitive people can share their experiences and gain community support. We can host in person social events as well if there is interest.
  • Who is your support group for?
Individuals who identify as having traits of high sensitivity, no matter how trivial it might seem to you. Those seeking a community to share their experiences of being highly sensitive
  • Explain your group's approach towards helping a person's mental health care.
This group is collaborative in the sense that all members and facilitators have a chance to provide feedback and support to each other. Members will feel validated and ideally feel safe to express themselves to the group. Elements of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy will be used, including radical acceptance, non attachment, and emotion regulation skills. Somatic healing techniques will be used as well to regulate the body.
  • What is your group's approach towards professional mental health care interventions?
Since this is a group for highly sensitive people, any mental health concerns will be referred to trusted therapist contacts. However, there is an open and safe space to discuss non-urgent mental health concerns related to being highly sensitive in the group.
  • What conversations is your support group not equipped to support?
We are not equipped to work with complex trauma cases, nor do we allow discussions detailing traumatic experiences. We also will refer you to a therapist or emergency services if you express suicidal intent. We are not equipped to treat mental health issues, we are simply a space to share your experiences of being highly sensitive.

Finding Support On TheMindClan.com

How It Works

1. Find Support

Browse our curated list of mental health professionals, support groups, and resources that resonate with you.

2. Learn More

Read detailed profiles, specialties, and approaches to understand if they're the right fit for you.

3. Connect Directly

We'll help you reach out and then step aside - your mental health journey is personal.

While we carefully curate our listings, we encourage you to make your own informed decisions. Take time to research, ask questions, verify credentials and choose what feels right for you. Your comfort and safety is top priority.

Inspired By Our Own Struggles.

We launched TheMindClan.com because we know firsthand how challenging it can be to find support for ourselves and our loved ones. We know that experiences of neurodivergence (like dyslexia, ADHD, autism, etc), or being from a marginalized community (LGBTQIA+, etc), can make it especially challenging to find support.

We understand the overwhelming feeling of scrolling through endless lists, wondering whom to trust, and not knowing what to expect.

For Everyone

Whether you're coping with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship issues, grief, or any other mental health concern, we're here to help you find the right support.

Inclusive by Design

If you are queer, neurodivergent, or are from a marginalized community, your experiences are at the heart of what we do.

Handpicked with Care

Support providers are handpicked after personal interviews and a rigorous curation process.

For context: From 442 therapist who wanted to join our platform (Oct 2020โ€“Mar 2025), only 168 made it through our curation process.

Not Just Therapy

We also curate support groups ๐Ÿ‘ฅ, create digital exercises ๐Ÿ“ฑ, and work on corporate partnerships ๐Ÿข that help make mental health a priority in more spaces.

No Middlemen. Take Things Ahead Directly

We provide you with direct contact details of support providers, empowering you to reach out, ask questions, and schedule sessions

Access Their Story

Get to know your potential therapist or support group's background & journey, helping you find someone who feels right for you.

No Hidden Fee

To keep their services affordable, every payment happens directly between you and the support provider. We do not take any commissions, which means support providers don't need to inflate their fees to account for middleman costs.

Confidential

Your conversations with support groups, therapists, and others remain completely private. We never ask them for any information about the concerns you have shared with them.

Your Relationship, No Interference From Us

If the therapist or support group you choose is not a good fit, you can use our platform to find someone else you feel more comfortable with. We're not here to interfere with your relationship with your support provider.

If you appreciate our mission of making mental health care accessible and inclusive, and would love to bring this to your organization or collaborate with us, we'd be delighted to hear from you!
