I became a therapist initially out of interest in the subject. Over time in my practice, however, my vision as a therapist has become more enhanced. I feel more anchored and am humbled by what I learn from my clients every day as I work towards providing the best possible help for my clients.
Therapy provides a mutual space for both the therapist and the client to introspect and learn more about oneself. The alternative stories of my clients make me feel closer to them and the world at large.
The first session is an opportunity for both the clients and the therapist to know each other well. Finding the right therapist is a trial and error process and I hope for my clients to be able to evaluate and understand whether I would be able to fulfil their expectations in the therapy space. I provide my clients with a framework of my therapy process in the first session to keep them informed about what to expect in the sessions.
I appreciate the initiative taken by potential clients towards working on themselves. I understand that undergoing therapy can be an overwhelming experience for many. I assure you that this is a safe space to process your feelings and emotions without feeling judged. There is no hierarchy in therapy as this is a collaborative process wherein the client has complete autonomy to choose their own pace in the therapy work.
Establishing a healthy trusting relationship is the most critical aspect of psychotherapy. I want my clients to be able to trust me with their narratives and I take the necessary steps to provide a free space to enable this process.
My practice has allowed me the opportunity to understand the different narratives of my clients and to be part of their journeys. The resilience they show while coping with their adversities has posed as an inspiration for me as well.
I find my ability to empathize with their different concerns as my greatest strength at present. I do attempt at working on my shortcomings and improve my quality as a therapist.
I am a private person and can spend hours reading or watching something. I also enjoy going out and visiting different places. Lately, I have also been exploring my interests in trying out different cuisines.
My style of therapy is conversational and explorative. I attempt to facilitate a discussion that would allow my clients to get some direction or structure out of their concerns faced.
I believe that the onus of information lies in me rather than expecting my clients to educate me on their specific needs and concerns. I have undergone training on queer affirmative counselling practice run by MHI, which has helped me hold an affirmative framework towards psychotherapy.
βEverything negative-pressure, challenges β is all an opportunity for me to rise.β

We've developed a curation process over 7+ years, which allows us to carefully curate each inclusive and affirming mental health provider listed on our platform.
We have come a long way since we started in 2018, and have been adapting our curation process every day. From the time a therapist or support group reaches out to us, it takes about 1 - 2 months to complete the process.
We launched TheMindClan.com because we know firsthand how challenging it can be to find support for ourselves and our loved ones. We know that experiences of neurodivergence (like dyslexia, ADHD, autism, etc), or being from a marginalized community (LGBTQIA+, etc), can make it especially challenging to find support.
We understand the overwhelming feeling of scrolling through endless lists, wondering whom to trust, and not knowing what to expect.
If you appreciate our mission of making mental health care accessible and inclusive, and would love to bring this to your organization or collaborate with us, we'd be delighted to hear from you!
