Since I was young, it has been very important for me to be there for my loved ones, and grasped how we humans just want to be seen, heard and understood. My own experience of going through some difficult situations reinforced their significance.
This pushed me to realize on my hopes and dreams of being able to facilitate this space for others through becoming a counsellor.
It is such a privilege to be a part of so many journeys, to witness and hold space for different parts of each person and their humanness in therapy. The connection I hold with each person through the course of therapy excites me.
I wish for my clients to feel safe and comfortable in sharing their experiences during therapy. I hope for them to be able to believe in themselves and in the process of therapy.
Therapy is not a magical process, we will need time, patience and efforts but you wonโt be alone in it. Weโll navigate through the journey together as co-passengers.
I strongly believe the clients are the experts of their own life; seeing my role as that of accompanying my clients as they learn to navigate through difficult situations of their life by harnessing their inner wisdom and compassion.
I love looking back at my notes and really appreciating how my clients and their journeys so far have left behind a rich residue of knowledge for me. Some realizations that have stayed with me from my experiences are the sheer power of the interbeing, having a community, and the strength of human resilience and will.
I have always valued empathy as my greatest strength. I try to center all my sessions around it and let everything else follow as a natural consequence. As Jung rightly said โKnow all the theories, master all the techniques but as you touch a human soul, be just another human soul.โ I tend to not shy away from creativity and spontaneity in my sessions, and work constantly to develop my Observational and Active Listening skills.
I enjoy reading books, going for a run, exploring new places, grabbing a cup of coffee with my loved ones, watching sunsets and writing my thoughts on paper.
My work centers around looking at the person not as the sum of their parts but as a whole, understanding how the problems are taking over their lives and how closely entangled they are with various dominant structures prevalent in society. I help my clients hold on to this awareness and engage with themselves from a place of compassion and accountability.
Engaging with continuous processes of learning and unlearning, seeing them away from the charmed circle of privilege, staying with their lived realities and using their preferred pronouns. I have also taken up a course on queer affirmative counselling practices to be able to be create that safe space in my work.
Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue.

We've developed a curation process over 7+ years, which allows us to carefully curate each inclusive and affirming mental health provider listed on our platform.
We have come a long way since we started in 2018, and have been adapting our curation process every day. From the time a therapist or support group reaches out to us, it takes about 1 - 2 months to complete the process.
We launched TheMindClan.com because we know firsthand how challenging it can be to find support for ourselves and our loved ones. We know that experiences of neurodivergence (like dyslexia, ADHD, autism, etc), or being from a marginalized community (LGBTQIA+, etc), can make it especially challenging to find support.
We understand the overwhelming feeling of scrolling through endless lists, wondering whom to trust, and not knowing what to expect.
If you appreciate our mission of making mental health care accessible and inclusive, and would love to bring this to your organization or collaborate with us, we'd be delighted to hear from you!
