I have always been curious about understanding and being challenged by others’ perspectives. Growing up with a physical disability, I was able to recognize very soon about the social structures and the impact it has on every individual. Realising the importance of acceptance and empathy, I knew psychology is where I belong.
The opportunity to connect with different people and together creating a safe space. To be able to witness the clients stories and take a journey along with them towards growth and kindness. Being someone’s support system while they cherish into different aspects of their life is wholesome.
In the first session I would hope for the client to experience that it is a safe and open space for one to be who they are. I would also encourage them to explore the way of conversation, topics and other attributes to suit with theirs and have a open communication about what works for them.
I would appreciate and encourage them as it is the first step towards self-love and growth. In counselling it is important to understand that it is a safe and non-judgemental place and the client’s lived realities are valued. I would affirm them towards their decison.
I would wish to build a open, equal, and empathetic relationship with my clients in the counselling. I would collaboratively work with the client and provide support in their growth and wellness.
The power of hope and resilience. The ability to bounce back and strive through the challenges is something I have always cherished and is my greatest learning from my clients.
My approach towards counselling and attitude towards clients. I take a step beyond the counselling setting in order to ensure support is available and provide necessary resources for the clients on the same.
I like to immerse myself in music, singing along with friends, reading and explore and learn new things around me.
I use an intersectional, trauma informed approach to therapy and I am eclectic in practice which is an integration of different school of thoughts. I believe as each individual is unique, the interventions should be tailored towards their needs.
I ensure that my pronouns are mentioned in my emails, social media accounts, the counselling intake forms are inclusive across gender and sexuality. During the session, I make sure to address my approach in the initial stages and actively take measures to visiblize others aspects in the counselling setting like a LGBTQIA+ badge, books etc.

We've developed a curation process over 7+ years, which allows us to carefully curate each inclusive and affirming mental health provider listed on our platform.
We have come a long way since we started in 2018, and have been adapting our curation process every day. From the time a therapist or support group reaches out to us, it takes about 1 - 2 months to complete the process.
We launched TheMindClan.com because we know firsthand how challenging it can be to find support for ourselves and our loved ones. We know that experiences of neurodivergence (like dyslexia, ADHD, autism, etc), or being from a marginalized community (LGBTQIA+, etc), can make it especially challenging to find support.
We understand the overwhelming feeling of scrolling through endless lists, wondering whom to trust, and not knowing what to expect.
If you appreciate our mission of making mental health care accessible and inclusive, and would love to bring this to your organization or collaborate with us, we'd be delighted to hear from you!
