I was always keen on exploring people and their relationships to their environments from an academic-research point of view. However, once I explored it through the lens of psychotherapy during my Masters I became very keen to look at it differently. I think I took to the more human aspect of counselling and enjoyed witnessing and co-creating with people their unique life stories
One of the most exciting aspects of the work for me is to witness a person being completely themselves when offered a non-judgemental and safe space. I find it very meaningful to be able to be a part of people’s journey in small or big ways!
I would like them to be able to feel safe, understood and heard. Also important that they feel that this is a collaborative space and that they can actively participate and shape the process to make it their own
I would like to first acknowledge that seeking counselling is a brave act of taking care of yourself even when it feels hard to do so. And that it’s okay to feel unsure or nervous at first. You don’t need to have everything figured out or even know exactly what you want to talk about just important that the space feels like one in which you can safely explore whatever might be happening for you.You have the right to feel safe, respected, and heard in therapy. It’s a space where you are not judged, and everything you share is kept confidential (within legal and ethical limits). You also have the right to ask questions, set your own goals, and stop or change therapists if the fit doesn’t feel right.
I would like the relationship to feel safe and caring. And to think of me as an ally to a version of themselves that feel truest to them
That people are constantly resisting larger structures to build a meaningful life for themselves. Also, that safe and warm spaces of solidarity can be life altering
Ability to hold space for a myriad of life stories without judgement. Creating spaces of solidarity with care and warmth
I like to read, swim, and watch videos of unlikely animal friendships. Napping and a good cup of coffee are also great!
My practice is trauma-informed, queer and neurodivergent affirmative, anti-caste, anti-ableism and integrates multiple therapeutic approaches, allowing me to tailor interventions to each individual’s unique needs. Overall, I am committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and empathetic space for my clients and calling out larger structures that play out into individual lives (Personal is political!)
Continuously learning and unlearning through various trainings and being under regular supervision. Centering lived experiences and making sure to call out how the charmed circle biases play out into my client’s lives. Using inclusive language in sessions and my intake form. Also, being very mindful of the privileges I hold as a cis-het person .
I feel a thousand capacities spring up in me. I am arch, gay, languid, melancholy by turns. I am rooted, but I flow.

We have come a long way since we started in 2018, and have been adapting our curation process every day. From the time a therapist or support group reaches out to us, it takes about 1 - 2 months to complete the process.
We launched TheMindClan.com because we know firsthand how challenging it can be to find support for ourselves and our loved ones. We know that experiences of neurodivergence (like dyslexia, ADHD, autism, etc), or being from a marginalized community (LGBTQIA+, etc), can make it especially challenging to find support.
We understand the overwhelming feeling of scrolling through endless lists, wondering whom to trust, and not knowing what to expect.
