“I have to constantly re-identify myself to myself, reactivate my own standards, my own convictions about what I am doing and why” - Nina Simon
This quote captures why I am. I am compulsively drawn towards exploring my thoughts, ideas and questioning each and every minute thing. This has given me both the confidence and the drive to introspect my mind body and soul. It furthered my understanding of how my continual self-questioning is a trauma response and parenting style. Self-retrospection and a Bachelor’s and Mater’s in Psychology is how I arrived at this understanding. Psychology was the one subject where I felt like I fit in.
I understand the importance of studying ‘oneself’ in order to effectively apply the learning in counselling settings. It helped me to connect with clients to be more empathy, mind-full and self-aware. For the past 5 years I have been working as a therapist with different social economic and cultural settings. I understand how culture affects the thought process and the mental being of the person.
It is my goal for clients to leave a first counseling session with a number of thoughts and emotions that will help launch a fruitful therapeutic journey. Feeling secure and at ease Having the sense of being appreciated and heard Clarity regarding the therapeutic procedure The basis for cooperation and confidence First introspection and insight
All the information shared in the session is strictly confidential unless the client is an immediate danger to themselves and others. The client may ask questions on what to expect during and end of therapy . The client has the right to review their work records from the therapist.
In counseling, building a trusting and collaborative relationship with clients is central to creating a supportive and transformative space
I observed that every client is different and unique on its own and culture, religion, class, caste, gender plays major role in one’s mind and thought process. Hence catering with one therapy technique would be difficult. So my approach is eclectic.
Cultural sensitivity, active listening, adaptability, empathy, non judgmental, paitence
I visit art galleries, go for session with my therapist, try to catch with my friends.
I am trained in art based therapy and narrative therapy. I have an eclectic approach with trauma-informed and social-justice informed, which means I acknowledge trauma experiences at the individual and systemic levels (caste, class, religion, institution, gender, workplace etc) and take an affirmative stance ( feminist, anti-caste, neurodivergent & queer affirmative) in my work. I strongly believe that committing to these stances is a lifelong work of learning and unlearning.
Creating deep commitment to inclusivity, respect and ongoing education. Understanding LGBTQA+ experiences and intersectionality, using inclusive language and respective pronouns, maintaining a non judgemental, affirming approach, supporting client autonomy and safety etc.
I have to constantly re-identify myself to myself, reactivate my own standards, my own convictions about what I am doing and why

We've developed a curation process over 7+ years, which allows us to carefully curate each inclusive and affirming mental health provider listed on our platform.
We have come a long way since we started in 2018, and have been adapting our curation process every day. From the time a therapist or support group reaches out to us, it takes about 1 - 2 months to complete the process.
We launched TheMindClan.com because we know firsthand how challenging it can be to find support for ourselves and our loved ones. We know that experiences of neurodivergence (like dyslexia, ADHD, autism, etc), or being from a marginalized community (LGBTQIA+, etc), can make it especially challenging to find support.
We understand the overwhelming feeling of scrolling through endless lists, wondering whom to trust, and not knowing what to expect.
If you appreciate our mission of making mental health care accessible and inclusive, and would love to bring this to your organization or collaborate with us, we'd be delighted to hear from you!
