I was always fascinated with understanding myself and others around me, on a deeper level. That, along with my personal struggles led me to pursue psychology as a subject. The deep-rooted stigma around mental health, gaps in the system and a dearth of well trained, genuine, and ethical professionals further fuelled my desire to contribute, which led me onto the path of becoming a counsellor.
The honour of being a part of and witnessing peoples’ journeys, is truly sacred for me.
I hope for them to feel safe, heard and accepted as they are.
You have already been responding to your struggles and are being there for yourself. Thinking of seeking counselling is just another example of that. Counselling is a process which is not linear. It will be filled with several small steps forward, a few steps backwards, some giant leaps at times. It can also feel magical yet tough sometimes. But it’s all worth it.
One of trust, respect and compassion.
My greatest learning from my clients is that, humans are resilient way beyond our imagination. People are always responding and that hope exists even in the darkest of times.
Empathy, a genuine desire to help, non-judgemental and strong ethics.
I like to travel, go for walks, read, and listen to podcasts and music.
The approach I use, views people as separate from the problem. It understands the various contexts a person is coming from and its influence in a person’s life. It centres the person as the expert in their life and as innately resourceful. The therapist is a co-traveller in this journey, who attempts to make this resourcefulness more visible to them, along with helping them understand their hopes, dreams, and preferred ways of being and exploring how they can make this more possible, while reducing the effects of the problems in their life.
I constantly educate myself by reading up, attending workshops and by learning from the lived experiences of queer folx, whom I know. I am also looking forward to doing a course on Queer Affirmative Counselling Practices.
Like tiny seeds with potent power to push through tough ground and become mighty trees, we hold innate reserves of unimaginable strength. We are resilient

We've developed a curation process over 7+ years, which allows us to carefully curate each inclusive and affirming mental health provider listed on our platform.
We have come a long way since we started in 2018, and have been adapting our curation process every day. From the time a therapist or support group reaches out to us, it takes about 1 - 2 months to complete the process.
We launched TheMindClan.com because we know firsthand how challenging it can be to find support for ourselves and our loved ones. We know that experiences of neurodivergence (like dyslexia, ADHD, autism, etc), or being from a marginalized community (LGBTQIA+, etc), can make it especially challenging to find support.
We understand the overwhelming feeling of scrolling through endless lists, wondering whom to trust, and not knowing what to expect.
If you appreciate our mission of making mental health care accessible and inclusive, and would love to bring this to your organization or collaborate with us, we'd be delighted to hear from you!
