So far my love for deep emotional connections and a yearning to alleviate human suffering in my capacity has brought me here at this point. I have also realised that I like to learn about abstract ideas and knowledge that are less visible to the eye but at the same time impacts and influences humankind.
The deep expansion of being that a therapist and client experience together, as they go from a “hello, how are you today?” to deep diving into their multi-layered reality.
I hope the client experiences that they have a roadmap to a better understanding of their mental health journey, where I serve them as a facilitator.
I would ask them to trust in the process. The process works, but for it to work, you have to show up. Give your 100% to it and you will be amazed at the results you see in your life unfolding.
The client-therapist relationship is crucial in understanding one’s mental health. I recommend my clients to give at least 3-6 months for establishing a strong rapport. I make it collaborative by asking questions rather than assuming on their behalf about their goals, hopes and dreams. There is no sense of absolutism in my approach. I work with hypotheses, and prefer to use clients’ language which helps me to understand their world better.
That change in one person impacts everyone around them.
Good listening skills, and being my clients’ cheerleader is a coveted spot to have!
I love to read fiction (romance and thriller) and non fiction (personal development and autobiographies). I am a Harry Potter buff, and continuously on the lookout for different flavours and types of tea. I am forever exploring my ‘artist child’ and having fun in painting, writing, musing, dancing.
A therapist functions with a certain set of principles that guide her to understand the person coming to her for therapy, which further helps to develop a roadmap for healing, help or recovery. Some principles that I work with are: 1. The client is the real expert of their lives, and I am trained in asking questions related to aspects of mental health. 2. The therapeutic space that gets developed between the client and me are sacred, it is a place where one’s strengths and resources come alive, and change can take place. 3. Removing mental health stigma in personal and professional lives through collaborative work. 4. Small actionable steps into a future and life you want to create. And repeat. :)
What helps me to make my practice a safe and affirmative space for queer and trans* folx are: not to assume with stereotypical notions (or scripts) of what a person is supposed to be, act, or feel like; asking for preferred gender pronouns; using resources for further understanding and language to help people feel seen and heard.

We've developed a curation process over 7+ years, which allows us to carefully curate each inclusive and affirming mental health provider listed on our platform.
We have come a long way since we started in 2018, and have been adapting our curation process every day. From the time a therapist or support group reaches out to us, it takes about 1 - 2 months to complete the process.
We launched TheMindClan.com because we know firsthand how challenging it can be to find support for ourselves and our loved ones. We know that experiences of neurodivergence (like dyslexia, ADHD, autism, etc), or being from a marginalized community (LGBTQIA+, etc), can make it especially challenging to find support.
We understand the overwhelming feeling of scrolling through endless lists, wondering whom to trust, and not knowing what to expect.
If you appreciate our mission of making mental health care accessible and inclusive, and would love to bring this to your organization or collaborate with us, we'd be delighted to hear from you!
