One of the most common questions I hear is, āDo I even need therapy?āāoften followed by, āMy problems arenāt that big.ā But if youāve even had that thought, thereās already something within you thatās seeking support. I encourage people to reflect on that reason, rather than dismiss it.
Itās easy to compare our struggles to others and feel like we shouldnāt be struggling at all. But pain isnāt a competitionāwhat youāre going through matters. At the same time, therapy isnāt about quick fixes or instant solutions. I wish it were that simple! Instead, itās a journeyāone that requires a leap of faith, patience, and self-compassion. It may take time, but the process of understanding yourself and creating change is always worth it.
Therapy is a two-way processāwhile our sessions may last an hour, the real work happens in the 6 days and 23 hours in between. Thatās why I strive to build a relationship that is collaborative, engaging, and empowering.
I often provide reflective exercises (not the school-type homework!) to help clients deepen their self-awareness and apply what we discuss in their daily lives. My goal is not just to support them in sessions but to equip them with the tools they need to navigate challenges independently over time. Therapy isnāt about dependencyāitās about helping clients step into their own strength, and I see our work together as a partnership in that journey.
My approach to therapy is trauma-focused and in-depth, primarily drawing from psychodynamic, relational, and transpersonal frameworks. Simply put, this means I help clients explore patterns and themes in their livesānot just in their present circumstances but also in their conscious, subconscious, and unconscious experiences. This deeper understanding allows clients to see how their internal world (thoughts, emotions, belief systems) and external world (relationships, work, social influences) shape their challenges and overall well-being.
I donāt believe in a āone-size-fits-allā approach. Every person carries a unique narrative shaped by their identity, beliefs, values, and life circumstances. My role is to help clients piece together these different aspects, making sense of how they interact and influence their experiences.
Additionally, I integrate neurodivergent, queer-affirmative, and socio-political perspectives into my work. This ensures that therapy is not only personal and reflective but also mindful of the larger forces that impact a personās life.

We launched TheMindClan.com because we know firsthand how challenging it can be to find support for ourselves and our loved ones. We know that experiences of neurodivergence (like dyslexia, ADHD, autism, etc), or being from a marginalized community (LGBTQIA+, etc), can make it especially challenging to find support.
We understand the overwhelming feeling of scrolling through endless lists, wondering whom to trust, and not knowing what to expect.
If you appreciate our mission of making mental health care accessible and inclusive, and would love to bring this to your organization or collaborate with us, we'd be delighted to hear from you!
