I’ve found it easy to attune to people’s lived experiences and emotions and a turn of fate, introduced me to some texts in psychology. I think both of these collided to help me take on this journey. And here I am four years later, best job I’ve had!

People and their stories- how all our experiences wave into the fabric of our lives and make the people we are. I’m also a big fan of the possibility of change that this work brings- to witness change and growth for the clients that work with me. The idea that one can over time, shed old patterns to open up new ways of being is the best form of hope.

A little peak into the process, possibility or hope that this process can help them and of course, assurance that any concerns they have or might come up in the future will always be addressed.

I would say, in the world we live in today, psychotherapy is one of the best options we have for our emotional health - so give it a real shot! And in case you’re not ready still, explore support groups- you don’t have to go through it alone anymore.

Read, read, read - fiction and all things psych of course. I also enjoy dancing, writing and watching lots of movies.

I work with adults and couples. My practice is trauma informed, queer-affirmative and recognised neurodiversity and intersectionality. Over the past few years, I’ve had additional experience working with emotional abuse, chronic pain and eating disorders as well. I also work with trauma survivors, women oppressed religiously, based on caste or gender.

I primarily work from a psychoanalytical lens. Additionally, my values include being trauma informed, recognising intersectionality and I am flexible in adjusting the approach to client’s needs.

I have had consistent mentors and supervisors who have dedicated their professional lives working with Queer communities. Apart from that, I keep myself updated on the latest resources and research for the community and QACP Manual is always a handy.
