I have always been fascinated and curious to unravel the deeper recesses of the complex human mind, while understanding the abstract emotions, cognitive processes and larger socio-cultural contexts to comprehend individual differences.
Being able to make such a significant impact on someone’s life is the best aspect of being a counsellor. I believe you can create such solid relationships as a counsellor. Able to simply listen to others and be there for them, which is fulfilling in and of itself, is what I believe is something which excites me the most. Sometimes that sounds so simple but can be so powerful for a person to be heard and feel valued.
I hope after the first session my clients feel comfortable, safe, heard and respected. At the same time they should trust the process and be hopeful about the journey. Therapy can be a messy yet beautiful process of discovering, learning and unlearning.
IT’S OKAY TO SEEK A THERAPIST. I am proud of you for taking the first step towards your well-being. It’s absolutely okay and normal to feel in a certain way and we all need little help and support at times. You have to trust the process and you will be amazed by how much difference it can make.
I provide a safe space for my clients to explore their emotions , thoughts and feelings by maintaining a non-judgmental stance and respecting their journey. I would ensure this by establishing a warm, genuine, authentic therapeutic relationship.
I would answer this through a little story about Death Valley. Death Valley is the hottest and driest place in America and nothing grows there; hence Death Valley. But in 2004 it rained in Death Valley and in 2005 the floor was covered with flowers. What we learn from this is that The Death Valley isnβt dead, it’s dormant. Right beneath the surface are the possibilities waiting for right conditions, if conditions are right life is inevitable. Similarly human have a great abilities to survive and thrive given the right condition.
Genuineness, authenticity which enables me to better understand that every human experience is valid. I have a great ability to listen to others respectfully and let my clients explore their experience, thoughts and emotions which ultimately result in healing.
I love to read, workout and spend time with my mother
To maintain a sense of collaboration and to consider what could be most important to the individual, I employ an eclectic approach in my sessions. At the same time i acknowledge that our past experiences has a profound impact on how we view the world around us hence my practice is trauma informed, i adopt a social justice lens along with neurodiversity and queer affirmative.
I actively educate myself by reading literature, interacting with people from the community to understand their experiences and participating in QACP workshops. I ensure my practice is safe by using gender-inclusive language, ask clients their preferred pronouns, acknowledge the systemic and structural challenges.

We've developed a curation process over 7+ years, which allows us to carefully curate each inclusive and affirming mental health provider listed on our platform.
We have come a long way since we started in 2018, and have been adapting our curation process every day. From the time a therapist or support group reaches out to us, it takes about 1 - 2 months to complete the process.
We launched TheMindClan.com because we know firsthand how challenging it can be to find support for ourselves and our loved ones. We know that experiences of neurodivergence (like dyslexia, ADHD, autism, etc), or being from a marginalized community (LGBTQIA+, etc), can make it especially challenging to find support.
We understand the overwhelming feeling of scrolling through endless lists, wondering whom to trust, and not knowing what to expect.
If you appreciate our mission of making mental health care accessible and inclusive, and would love to bring this to your organization or collaborate with us, we'd be delighted to hear from you!
