Not all grief comes from death.
We grieve friendships that fade, jobs we’ve lost, versions of ourselves we’ve left behind, and dreams that never came true.
Hidden grief is the sadness we feel when we lose something that isn’t a person’s life—like losing a friendship, a relationship, a job, or a community. Society dictates that it is somehow less worthy of being mourned, that one should move on quickly from it. What makes these kinds of losses “hidden” is not that they don’t happen, but that we usually think of grief as something only related to someone’s death.
Kathaa is starting a hidden grief support group to provide a safe space for all these stories to come to life.
This 5-session online support group is a gentle, non-judgmental space to explore these often unspoken losses.
Each session will focus on a different theme of unconventional grief, helping you name, feel, and move through what you’ve been carrying.
