Each of us may have had experiences of talking to ourselves harshly, critically, or in unkind ways. This is how problems operate, isn’t it? They convince us of how these harsh words are true of ourselves.
One of the most liberating tools that we learn on our journey of healing and growing, is to know that those words we told ourselves are not absolute truths.
Many of us may have grown to learn that these are simply ways how the problem tricks us. We now know that we do not have to believe those harsh words. We now know that we can take a stand, make tiny shifts towards compassion or neutral emotion towards ourselves, and hold on to what matters to us.
