Since 2017, One Future Collective has been actively holding spaces for the communities that we work with, including book clubs and healing circles. Initially launched as an extension of One Future Collective’s COVID-19 Mental Health Project, which provided support to frontline workers, the Healing Liberation Project transitioned into an ongoing initiative. Over the past five years, One Future Collective has curated safe spaces tailored to specific communities, including queer individuals and survivors of gender-based violence. With an emphasis on nurturing healing, growth, reflection, and unlearning, these spaces have positively impacted over 25,000 individuals.
Each space offers opportunities for connection, rest, joy, and solidarity, striving for inclusivity and accessibility through suggested fees, discounted packages, and financial aid options.
The goal is to strengthening community building, promoting connection and rest. Through these spaces we wish to create a nurturing environment where individuals can find communities supporting their healing and growth.
Our collective and the I, Me, and Climate space approaches mental health care through a community-centered and trauma-informed lens that acknowledges the significance of collective healing and support systems in fostering psychological well-being.
We prioritize community-oriented healing processes, recognizing the pivotal role that a supportive community plays in an individual’s mental health journey.
Our approach embraces intersectionality and inclusivity. We understand that mental health is deeply intertwined with various identities and experiences, and our spaces cater to diverse backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences. We strive to create environments where everyone feels respected, seen, and heard.
We recognize that mental health is interconnected with physical, emotional, and social well-being. Our spaces encompass various modalities, including art-based sessions, sharing circles, movement-based activities, and discussions on contemporary issues, catering to diverse aspects of well-being.
Our spaces focus on healing, personal growth, and empowerment. Participants are encouraged to explore self-expression, build connections, and engage in activities that foster personal development within a supportive environment.
