Thoughts in balance is a support group for people who experience ‘Overthinking’ to come together to understand their experiences and how to cope with them better, in ways that work for them.
The group will meet every Wednesday at 7 pm for 1-1.5 hours from 3rd July to 7th August; for 6 sessions.
The sessions are designed to be experiential in nature. The sessions hope to cover – understanding one’s own patterns of overthinking, one’s values and how they can guide us through overthinking, understanding the role Overthinking is playing in one’s life, shifting focus from the mind to the body and gut feelings.
In my work with clients, I often meet people who come to therapy distressed with “the issue of overthinking.” And as we explore what is underneath this “issue” with compassion and curiosity, we find a better understanding of ourself and through that forming a better relationship with ourself as whole, not looking at eliminating these overthinking parts of us but learning how to be with them in a way which doesn’t distress us, doesn’t burden us but empowers us.
