Facilitator: Madhavi Bongarala Madhavi Bongarala is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist (M.Phil., NIMHANS) who believes that therapy is about understanding oneself in a way that enables real, lasting change. She approaches growth not just as a process of unlearning old patterns but as one of cultivating self-compassion, psychological flexibility, and engaging with life in a way that feels authentic. Madhavi employs a relational and experiential approach, integrating cognitive-behavioral strategies with self-compassion, mindfulness, and emotional exploration. Her therapeutic style balances structure and flexibility offering practical tools while also creating space for deeper insight and self-discovery. Whether working through thoughts and beliefs that shape experiences or allowing emotions to unfold in real-time through storytelling, relational work, and mindfulness, she helps clients develop new ways of engaging with themselves and others. With an M.Sc. in Clinical Psychology from Manipal University and an M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology from NIMHANS, Madhavi’s work is rooted in both clinical expertise and research. Her mental health research has focused on psychological resilience, mind-body approaches, and evidence-based interventions for emotional well-being. In addition to private practice, she has supported individuals, couples, and families in navigating emotional and relational challenges. Beyond therapy, Madhavi is involved in mental health advocacy and education, working to bridge the gap between psychological science and real-world application. She also facilitates therapist-led support groups, fostering shared learning, connection, and healing. At the heart of her practice is the belief that change isn’t just about knowing what to do it’s about experiencing something different, whether through moments of clarity, learning to sit with discomfort, or simply realizing that one doesn’t have to go through it alone. Notes: The above information may change from time to time, and is shared with you to understand the background of where the support group comes from.

Our curation process
Find someone who understands you, in just a few clicks.
We've developed a curation process over 7+ years, which allows us to carefully curate each inclusive and affirming mental health provider listed on our platform.
1. Therapists / Support Groups Contact Us
We receive applications from therapists and support groups who want to join our community.
Therapists and support groups apply to join our community. We review basic qualifications - only suitable candidates move forward.
2. Peer Referral Confirmation
Feedback from within our community.
We reach out to trusted professionals within our community about the applicant. If we don't get confident feedback, we stop here.
3. Personal Interview
Our personal interview with the applicant.
We have a conversation to understand their values and approach to inclusive care. Those who don't align with our standards don't continue.
4. Curation Questionnaire
Our detailed assessment of the applicant.
Applicants answer detailed questions about working with diverse communities within our network. Inadequate responses, or a lack of experience with diverse communities, ends the process.
5. Final Decision
(Approx 1 - 2 Months In Total)
We review everything carefully within our community standards. Only providers who pass all stages join our platform.
We have come a long way since we started in 2018, and have been adapting our curation process every day. From the time a therapist or support group reaches out to us, it takes about 1 - 2 months to complete the process.
Inspired By Our Own Struggles.
We launched TheMindClan.com because we know firsthand how challenging it can be to find support for ourselves and our loved ones. We know that experiences of neurodivergence (like dyslexia, ADHD, autism, etc), or being from a marginalized community (LGBTQIA+, etc), can make it especially challenging to find support.
We understand the overwhelming feeling of scrolling through endless lists, wondering whom to trust, and not knowing what to expect.
For Everyone
Whether you’re coping with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship issues, grief, or any other mental health concern, we’re here to help you find the right support.
Inclusive by Design
If you are queer, neurodivergent, or are from a marginalized community, your experiences are at the heart of what we do.
Handpicked with Care
Support providers are handpicked after personal interviews and a rigorous curation process.
For context: From 442 therapist who wanted to join our platform (Oct 2020–Mar 2025), only 168 made it through our curation process.
Not Just Therapy
We also curate support groups 👥, create digital exercises 📱, and work on corporate partnerships 🏢 that help make mental health a priority in more spaces.
