We don’t move through loss; we move with loss. It becomes a part of who we are
The loss of a loved one changes the landscape of our lives. It reshapes who we are and leaves us finding our way through a world that no longer feels the same.
Chhaya is a support group for those living with the loss of a loved one to death. It is a space where we hope to welcome grief in all its forms, shapes, sizes and feelings: the tears, the silence, the anger, the confusion, the possible relief, the longing, and the love (along with other feelings) that continues to remain. It is a space where grief can be present or absent, and held in the company of others who understand parts of its weight and loneliness of it all. Together, we hope to explore what it means to carry our love, our longing, and our connection with the person we have lost, and how we might build our own relationship with grief over time.
Grounded in a trauma-informed, grief-focused, Internal Family Systems and compassionate approach, Chhaya welcomes you exactly as you are: there is no right or wrong way to grieve here. There is room for your experience, your memories, your relationship with the person you have lost, and most importantly, for you.
In this space, we hope we meet each other where we are in our grieving journey.
Thank you for reading this through. We hope to see you in Chhaya.
