Can you share some details about your journey of choosing to work in the field of mental health with us?Human behaviour and the uniqueness of experiences were my pull factors to take up Psychology and now Mental Health per se.

What excites you about your work as a facilitator?Interaction with people about mental health- always gives more insight into the epidemiological reality of the phenomenon.

How do you think group interactions are helpful in addressing mental health and self-care for an individual?They bring together people at a platform where the shared responsibility of certain experiences relieves them and encourages them to discuss about things that bother them. It helps to develop a stronger narrative around mental health which is a required.

In your work as a facilitator so far, what has been your greatest learning from your interactions with participants?Mental health is not as obscure as we read the quoted statistics as, people are interested to know, willing to seek help. Overcoming stigma does not always mean making your problems vocal to everyone but it can simply also be silently seeking help. Stigma is to stay for years to come, what aspects of us can we work upon is the real deal.
