We, at Dialogue, are hosting a support group titled “Moving To A New City:From Boxes to Belonging," for individuals navigating their lives in a new city. This group is for those have recently moved for work, family, or some other reasons, and are seeking a space for support regarding the same.
This is an informal space for anyone who feels like they’re in the middle of navigating their life while relocating to a new city. If you’re looking for a safe, supportive place to connect with others on a similar journey, you’re in the right place.
Relocating to a new city can bring a mix of excitement, uncertainty, and disconnection, among other feelings. This group offers a supportive space for adults navigating the emotional and social transitions that come with starting over, whether that means building new friendships, adjusting to unfamiliar routines, or finding a sense of belonging.
Who can apply? Anyone! Especially if you:
- Are navigating life in a new environment
- Experiencing feelings of isolation or loneliness after a move, looking for support and understanding
- Dealing with a sense of culture shock, whilst adjusting to a new city
- Struggling with finding a sense of belonging or balancing your old identity with your new surroundings.
- Whether you’re in transition, adjusting to the newness of it all, or just want to be in a space of shared experience, you are welcome here.
