What is the group about?

"Neurodivergent Support Group is a support group for people who are neurodivergent, to talk, vent and navigate life situations."

What is your founding story?

"The facilitator herself is neurodivergent and wants to build a community that supports each other, a place where ideas, solutions and problems are discussed from an experiential point of view. A community that doesn’t conform to normative ideas and find unique solutions within their framework of personal or social experience."

Who is your group for?

"Neurodivergent People Only. That is, folks who experience Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, ADHD, Autism, or any other neurodivergent experience."

How does one sign up? What’s the coordination process like?

"The person can call or message on the office phone number and the office person coordinates to include their name in the group, they are then added to the WhatsApp group of the support group. The link is shared on this WhatsApp group."

Walk us through the average format of your group session.

"We take in suggestions from the members of a topic they want to discuss for eg. RSD or Perfectionism etc and the facilitator frames questions around that and sends it in the group a day or two prior, to allow participants to think about it. The group then meets online to discuss the topic."

What do you hope for participants in your group to take back with them after a session?

"A feeling of acceptance and belongingness. Sometimes clarity and relief if figuring out a way out of sticky situations."
